The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the context of the European Lifelong Learning Program GEOschools, which is under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports,  in collaboration with the 1st Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens through the Department of Environmental Education organizes a two-day in service training seminar under the title:

“Sustainable itineraries in space and time…with multiple readings”.

There are “itineraries” in the cities that we live, in which we often walk, roads which we cross almost every day, inseparable parts of our daily routine, where we “don’t read” or we overtake the knowledge and the feelings they offer us.

The aim of the seminar is the participants “to read with multiple ways” classical itineraries of the historical centre of Athens and to discover the natural environment and especially the geoenvironment and the roll that  has taken place to the development of the city of Athens through an experiential interdisciplinary approach.

The seminar will be held on 12 and 13 April 2013 in the “Old University of Athens” (The Athens University Museum, Tholou str. 5, Plaka) and in the field (From the archaeological site of Kerameikos to the hill of Areios Pagos)
It addresses to educators of all specialties. The duration of the seminar is twenty (20) hours and they will participate 30 educators from Secondary Education. [more]
